Hi there,

Fellow Plant Nerds!

My name is Leah and Goodness Greenness is my plant care and education business. I am a passionate gardener and horticulturalist who has many years' experience growing, propagating, taking care of and rehabilitating plants.

I have worked in journalism, writing and government communications for around 25 years but the Covid pandemic saw me reassess my career and what I wanted out of life. After much soul-searching and a move to a bigger city, I returned to study to become a horticulturalist and start a business that would give me work-life balance, allow me to live my values and pass on my passion for growing. Hence, Goodness Greenness was born.

My History

I started gardening with my grandparents when I was very young at their property on the edges of Gariwerd (the Grampians National Park in western Victoria, Australia). I watched my grandfather grow all their produce in his orchard (he was a commercial cherry grower for many years) and very productive veggie patch. My grandmother's horticultural knowledge was passed on to me watching her work in her ornamental garden, which she created and nurtured over some 50 years.

I have carried on the family greenthumb tradition as an epic obsession ever since.

The vision for my business is to pass on the pleasure of plants through education, inspiration and entertainment.
